academy cinema pearse street

The Academy Theatre/Cinema on Pearse Street. Any real information on this would be greatly appreciated. It's been there for as long as I remember, and the stone work on the rear walls looks pretty old. A classic example of a big building going into disrepair due to a lack of popularity.
